1. Delivery

Q1. How big are the works considered "large-scale"?

A. The sum of the three dimensions (length + width + depth) exceeds 250 centimeters. This item cannot be shipped via regular Yamato Transport or Sagawa Express services. Please contact Yamato Transport (artwork service) or a company specializing in transporting large items.

In that case, please arrange for delivery and return shipping through a shipping company, and then inform the secretariat of the details of the delivery and return.

Q2. I was told that the artwork is too large for the delivery company to transport.

A. Many customers seem to be transporting their items in and out of their own vehicles, or using Yamato Transport (for art items), or a local delivery company (such as a light transport service) in their area. Please make arrangements as soon as possible.

*The office does not handle the delivery or return of large artworks.

Q3. I would like to hire a delivery company (up to unpacking) and a removal company (up to packing) myself. Is that possible?

A: Of course, that's possible. Please inform the secretariat that you have made the arrangements.

*If you request unpacking and packing services from the secretariat, a service fee (see website) will be required.

Q4. What should I do if my artwork doesn't arrive by the submission deadline?

A. Please contact the secretariat as soon as possible, as we may not be able to secure exhibition space or display your artwork.

Q5. Where should I inquire about delivery problems?

A. Please check the condition of the packaging materials and contact the delivery company. The delivery company will then contact the office.

2. Loading in and loading out

Q1. I would like to change the loading and unloading method.

A. Changes are possible. Please inform the secretariat as soon as the method of delivery and pickup is decided.

Q2. I would like to change the title or other details of my work.

A. Please inform the secretariat by the application deadline.

Q3. What should I do if my artwork does not arrive by the delivery date?

A. Please contact the secretariat immediately, as we may not be able to secure exhibition space or even exhibit your work.

Q4. Is it possible to ship the artwork to the gallery before the scheduled delivery date?

A. Artwork cannot be received on days other than the setup day. If delivery is not possible, it will be returned by the shipping company with payment on delivery.

3. Exhibition

Q1. Do I get to decide the exhibition location myself?

The exhibition coordinator will handle the placement.

Q2. Is it okay to display descriptions and profiles of the artworks in the exhibition room?

A. You cannot display artwork descriptions or profiles inside the exhibition room. We have provided space for business cards to A4-sized informational materials.

Q3. Why can't natural objects or water be exhibited?

A. Anything that could potentially affect other works, such as pest infestations or mold, is not permitted.

Q4. In the case of video production, is it possible to mount the monitor on the wall?

A. Wall mounting limits the available display space due to factors such as power supply, so installation on a display stand is generally preferred.

Q5. Can I request the secretariat to turn on the power during the exhibition period?

A. Startup. Please ensure that it either starts up simply by turning on the power, or requires a two-step startup procedure.

Q6. The artwork weighs over 20 kilograms. Can you help with the installation?

A. Please arrange for exhibition staff. Please inform the secretariat of the weight, exhibition method, etc.

Q7. Is it possible to hang artwork weighing more than 20 kg on the wall?

A. It can lift up to approximately 20 kg. If you need to lift more than 20 kg, please contact our office.

Q8. Can it be hung from the ceiling?

A. This varies depending on the exhibition, so please contact the secretariat for details.

Q9. If an exhibition requires an admission fee, do artists also need to pay an admission fee each time?

A. Exhibiting artists do not need to pay an admission fee. Artist passes are available at the venue reception.
