1. Notes regarding delivery

Precautions

• Damage to artworks during shipping has occurred in the following cases. In recent years, depending on the packaging method, there have been instances where the shipping company's insurance does not cover the damage. Please check the details below.

1. Regarding works that may break

When shipping glass and ceramic items, we ensure that the outer box and cushioning materials are designed to withstand impact, and that warning labels such as "Handle with Care" and "This Side Up" are clearly displayed.

2. Works that are easily damaged

・For artworks with photographs or prints directly onto acrylic panels, there is a risk of damage from contact with packaging materials during shipping. Please take care to ensure that packaging materials do not come into contact with the artwork.

3. Works that are not yet dry

Please take care to prevent oil paints, acrylics, and other works that are not yet dry from coming into contact with the packaging material, as they may be damaged if they come into contact with the packaging.

★Request for your cooperation

- We cannot guarantee against damage during shipping. - Please bring the above-mentioned items in person (unpacking) and take them back (packaging) yourself.

To protect your valuable artwork, please understand the contents and take sufficient care in packaging when shipping.

Precautions

Packing with bubble wrap alone may cause damage or make delivery impossible, so please be sure to pack the item in a cardboard box.

Whether you are bringing in or picking up your artwork, please be sure to pack it in a cardboard box.

2. Prepare the artwork and artwork information labels.

Product information labels: 4 or more

Required information: Please include your real name, artist name, and title. (Handwritten entries are acceptable.)

It will be removed when it is on display.

3. Planar works

Attach an information label to the back of the artwork.

• For wall-mounted artwork, please be sure to attach a hanging string to the back of the piece.

Please remove the glass. (Acrylic is acceptable.)

Please be sure to attach the hanging strap.

4. Three-dimensional works

Attach an information label to the back of the artwork.

Please take measures to prevent unstable artworks from falling over during the exhibition.

Please take care to ensure the artwork does not get damaged during shipping.

5. Pack the artwork

No specific packaging material required.

・ Always use cushioning material such as bubble wrap.

For hanging scrolls and special boxes, we will leave the packaging materials to you.

・To prevent confusion, please be considerate by clearly stating names and consolidating them into one whenever possible.

Packing materials will be stored in the museum's warehouse.

Please pack your items, whether you are bringing them in or taking them out.

6. Pack the artwork

- Be careful not to damage the corners of picture frames, etc.

If you have equipment or layout instructions, please write your name on them and include them in the package.

Please add enough cushioning.

7. Attach information labels to the outer box.

Securely attach the four corners with tape.

We will reuse the original packaging materials for the return.

Please prepare up to this point, whether you are bringing your own food or taking it home.

8. Delivery Person

Return: Cash on Delivery

- Clearly indicate "Handle with care" and "This side up."

- Attach "Opening Instructions" if necessary.

- Select a company that specializes in transporting artwork.

- Insurance is provided to cover damage or loss during delivery.

- Clearly communicate the delivery date and time to the delivery company.

Since delivery is not possible on any day other than the scheduled delivery date, the package will be returned to you by the delivery company with payment due upon delivery.

9. Those who request the return of items to the secretariat.

Handling of return shipping labels (summary)
• The return shipping label will be included with the acceptance notification letter. • Please securely attach the return shipping label with tape at all four corners. • If you are using a shipping company for packaging and delivery at an art exhibition, please ask the company to place the return shipping label in an envelope and attach it to the outside of the packaging materials.

Since delivery is not possible on any day other than the scheduled delivery date, the package will be returned to you by the delivery company with payment due upon delivery.

Regarding packaging for return shipping

• We will use the same packaging materials as when it was shipped. • Please ensure that unpacking and repacking are easy and straightforward.

Please arrange the items in a way that is easy for the unpacking and packing staff to handle.

10. Large, heavy, and delicate

• Large size (total dimensions of all three sides exceeding 250cm)
• Weight (20 kg or more)
• Delicate glass, complex assembly, sharp edges, easily scratched artwork

The secretariat cannot handle this.

Please arrange for loading and unloading yourself or with staff.

Shipping: Prepaid Return: Cash on Delivery No specific carrier specified

Please arrange for a shipping company to handle both delivery (unpacking and display) and return (dismantling and packing).

The secretariat does not handle the arrangement of vendors or staff.
